Big Tex Burning
Big Tex Burning
Big Tex is burning!
On a beautiful October day in 2012, the Oklahoma Sooners traveled to the Texas State Fair to take on the Texas Longhorns in the historic Cotton Bowl. The Sooners went "scorched earth" on the Longhorns, routing their rivals by a final score of 63-21.
Shortly after the game, Big Tex caught fire, destroying the iconic statue that had stood at the fairgrounds since 1952 (a year in which Oklahoma also beat Texas, 49-20). Immortalize a Red River Roast with this blazing shirt design by Through the Keyhole!
