Don't Take the Bait, Sooners

With today's news that the BCS has officially stripped the USC Trojans of the 2004 national championship, a nice shiny crystal football is just sitting out there, waiting to be claimed. Seeing as everyone likes adding that kind of hardware to their trophy case, the temptation is certainly there for Oklahoma to argue it deserves the title.

The Sooners lost to 'SC in the championship game, ergo they're the champs, right?

If you buy that, you're either seriously insecure or just not old enough to remember what happened that night. And if the Trojans aren't the champs, no one should be. (I'm looking at you, Tommy Tuberville.)
