Podcast: Buckeye of the Storm

No team has managed to find its way into the headlines this offseason more often than the Ohio State Buckeyes, for all the wrong reasons. Veteran Ohio State blogger Ramzy Nasrallah of Bucknuts and Eleven Warriors stops by for a podcast to talk about the spring of Jim Tressel's discontent and preview the Buckeyes' 2011 team.

(Editor's note: We recorded this the night before former OSU wide receiver Ray Small caught a case of diarrhea of the mouth. However, based on our conversation, it should be pretty clear that neither of us will be surprised by the emergence of new allegations against the program going forward.)

Ramzy and I discuss:

  • whether Tressel's a fraud;
  • how Gordon Gee and Gene Smith are playing Tatgate from a strategic standpoint;
  • the impact on the Senator's legacy;
  • how this episode will ultimately end for Tressel and the Buckeyes;
  • Terrelle Pryor's prospect as an NFL quarterback;
  • who will step up as a second receiver;
  • OSU's defensive philosophy for building depth;
  • concerns about the kicking game; and
  • the chances that OSU ends up as the turd in the BCS punch bowl.
