*Stephen Dubner of Freakonomics fame tackles the difficulties of drafting a quarterback in the NFL. His conclusion: NFL GMs' hit-or-miss history of drafting quarterbacks shouldn't surprise anyone who understands how badly we all suck at predictions. Given that acquiring a QB through the draft is so perilous, it would seem that the best course of action would be to wait and break the bank on a proven signal caller in free agency. Of course, there's a reason why the Peyton Mannings of the world so rarely make it to the open market. Thus, teams are forced to roll the dice in the draft – vicious cycle.
