An Experiment

Imagine that you play football for State U.

In exchange for plying your trade at the school, you get a scholarship and free room and board. You also have access to the tutelage of world-class football coaches.

Your "contract" requires that you play a set number of games and attend a specific number of hours of team meetings and practices each week.

One day, your school's athletic director rolls up to your summer workouts in a brand new Bentley to inform you and your cohorts that the deal has changed. Your season may be extended by as much as a third of the number of games you already play. Your end? It stays the same.

Does this sound fair to you?
