Pick 11: Buffalo Bills

Strengths: Receivers, offensive tackle

Weaknesses: Sometimes they play games in Canada

The Pick: Clay Matthews Jr., LB, USC

To be honest, Matthews may be Homerism's favorite (non-Oklahoma) prospect in the draft. And I can think of no better fit for him and a team than the Bills.

Matthews' story is pretty well known. He comes from an NFL family with the bluest of blue collars. After walking on at USC, he worked his way up the depth chart to become arguably the most productive player on the Trojans' star-studded defense in his senior year. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and proved to be a terror rushing the passer from the edge his senior year.

Much like Shane Conlan and Cornelius Bennett, the gritty Buffalo fan base surely would love Matthews' work ethic and demeanor. He also offers a pass-rushing threat to put some bite in a defense that seems somewhat soft by Bills standards.

Ten years from now, Homerism expects Matthews will be a frequent Pro Bowler and respected defensive leader for whichever organization snatches him up in the 2009 draft.
