2017 ACC preseason football projections

I've done the Pac-12, SEC and Big 12 so far. Here's how I see the ACC playing out this year:

ACC – 2017 projected final standings

Notes:

*I'm projecting Miami as the champion of the Coastal division via a head-to-head win over Virginia Tech. Watch out for the U this season – that is one hell of a favorable schedule.

*I really liked what Florida State brought into last season, too, but I'll roll with the Seminoles again this year. Frankly, I loved what I saw out of FSU in the back half of 2016.

I'm even willing to back them in that titanic opener versus Alabama. I have the 'Noles dropping their final game of the season at Florida, but that is it.

*Do I feel good pegging Louisville at 10-2? Not exactly.

On the other hand, I like the fact that the Cardinals are catching Clemson early in the year. They also miss Miami and Virginia Tech in divisional crossover games, which has to be seen as a plus this year. (Nice to have Virginia as a permanent opponent.)

*I've offered my thoughts on Clemson this season already.

*That's a whole lot of 6-6.

*Have to imagine we'll be bidding adieu to Steve Addazio if Boston College's season plays out this way.
