Notes:
*My projection for the selection committee's top four on Tuesday:
- Clemson
- LSU
- Michigan State
- Ohio State
*My projection – as of now – for the top four at the end of the season:
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Alabama
- TCU
*Memphis remains the strongest Group of 5 candidate for inclusion in the final four by virtue of the Tigers' win over Ole Miss. It would take absolute chaos for that to happen, of course.
*Ole Miss owns the best win of the year by virtue of beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Clemson over Notre Dame isn't far behind, however. The Fighting Irish have their best squad since Brian Kelly grabbed the sticks, and even though Dabo Swinney's crew didn't blow ND away, beating the Irish plays a big part in where the Tigers rank right now.
*Games of consequence this week: LSU at Alabama, Florida State at Clemson, TCU at Oklahoma State, Navy at Memphis (sneaky good).
