Notes:

*One major outlier on field position to note: Tennessee started a possession on OU's 30 late in the third quarter following a fumbled punt return.

*Given the quality of UT's quarterback and receiving corps, allowing fewer than 4 yards per pass attempt on net represents a hell of an effort by the Sooner D.

*The offense's poor conversion rate on third and fourth down – a combined 3-of-13 attempts – should set off some alarm bells. On the flip side, OU didn't make it past second down all that often.

*Tennessee's strategy to stack the box on early downs opened up some chances for OU to do some damage throwing the ball down the field. Trevor Knight hit on 8-of-15 passes on first down for 114 yards and an interception. Completing only 50 percent of his throws leaves something to be desired, but when Knight did connect, OU was picking up chunks of yardage (14.3 yards per completion).
