My ballot for the latest CBR poll:

 CrystalBallRun.com Power Rankings Ballot – Week 8

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Missouri
4. Clemson
5. Miami
6. Ohio State
7. UCLA
8. Florida State
9. Louisville
10. Baylor

Just missed the cut: Texas Tech, Fresno State, LSU, Texas A&M

Notes:

*Again, I vote based on body of work. Is Missouri the third-best team in the country? No. However, the Tigers actually have a really solid resume. I suspect they get their first blemish this week, but for now, they're No. 3.

*Louisville takes all the shade for a weak schedule, but so far, Baylor is every bit the Cardinals' equal in that department. Whereas the Bears still have some meat left on the Big 12 bone, U of L could be in the clear after Friday night's game against Central Florida. Honestly, I expected the Cards to turn out to be a huge disappointment this season, but I've officially changed my tune.

*Winner of Florida St.-Clemson stands to make a huge leap next week, of course. Other big games, rankings-wise: UCLA at Stanford, Auburn at Texas A&M.

(Surprised that Auburn-A&M matchup seems to be flying below the radar.)
