NYT: Evans Discussed English Paper with Recruit

Homerism continues to be fascinated by the intrigue surrounding the recruitment of OU commit Jamarkus McFarland.

Contrary to internet speculation, Thayer Evans, who wrote the controversial New York Times article on McFarland, did talk to the recruit about his salacious English class paper, according to an NYT report posted today. McFarland previously told Rivals.com that he didn't know Evans had a copy of the paper.

No mention of allegations by the Texas athletic department that Evans had not contacted the school for comment.
